PORTABLE BIKE POP OPEN BIKE AND RIDE

One Shot is a portable bike that unfolds in mere seconds. It may not look like a typical bike, but it rides like one. And that’s all that matters right? It was designed to be used on rail transit. The design allows it to be stowed in the train when commuting. Then when you exit, you just pop open your bike and ride.

The folding bike was designed by Alberga Marilena and Vecchia Valentina It folds up easily into a trolley-type rolling case. You just lug it around by the handle when you aren’t riding it. It’s good for the environment and it will give you an excuse to get some exercise too.

It is just a concept right now, but I would love to see this become a reality. You might love your bike and biking to work, but you probably could do without the hassle of having to carry your bike down the stairs to your subway stop or push it past passengers when you climb on the train. The One Shot Bicycle designed by Valentina Vecchia and Marilena Alberga addresses these problems with a fixed-belt foldable bike that transforms into a single column perfect for carrying on public transportation.

One Shot Folding Bicycle Concept | Valentina Vecchia and Marilena Alberga
Compact and light, the One Shot Bicycle features an intuitive design with a contemporary look. Unlike other folding bikes, several features of the One Shot allow it to close into a single vertical column.  For example, a telescoping axle permits the two halves of the bike frame to move into a nearly parallel position that is extremely compact, while folding pedals ensure that your bike won’t accidentally catch on your fellow passengers. Created with young commuters in mind, the One Shot Bicycle will make your trip to the office one of the best parts of your work day!
